Dear All, Good day. In continuation to our last update, see below the latest news for the awareness of all our seafarers. • To date, The Philippines has a total of 997,523 total cases as of April 26, 2021 with 16,783 fatalities as per latest data from John Hopkins Corona Virus Resource Center. • There has been a slight decrease of positive cases the last week, where 10,000 cases per day compared to the previous weeks has been recorded. • NCR and 4 nearby provinces aptly called NCR + remains under the MECQ status and there are still several restrictions of movement as per IATF protocols. • The restrictions imposed on the crew changes in China, South Korea, Vietnam and Australia remains a challenge to our operations and a latest restriction on vessels calling India and going to Singapore in less than 14 days, crew change will not be allowed by MPA. • Vaccination process for the Filipino people has already started and a total of 1,612,420 doses has already been administered and there are already 214,792 people fully vaccinated or a total percentage of 0.20% of the population has been fully inoculated . • Citizens classified under A4 which the Filipino Seafarers belong, have already started vaccination with the Cities of Parañaque, Caloocan, Pasig, Bacoor and Taguig confirmed to have started the vaccination of seafarers so we are encouraging all our seafarers to check with your local Government or start registering on line by searching on google the various on line vaccination registration platforms corresponding to your city of residence. With the above update on several cities confirming to have started the vaccination of seafarers, It will be a great opportunity to complete your doses the soonest possible before your next embarkation and coordinate with us as soon as you get your doses in order to be able to record in our database on when you had your first and second dose.
